I’m Dejanae, I work with:

  • Teens

  • Young Adults

  • College Students

  • Early-career professionals

  • Especially BIPOC clients navigating trauma, burnout, body image challenges, identity-related concerns, and systemic and cultural stressors

My style is relational, real, and grounded. We take our time here and unpack it all with tender care.

How I Operate

I believe you’re the expert on your life. We work together to make sense of what you’re feeling, where it’s coming from, and what can change.

I work from a trauma-informed, collaborative approach and pull from EMDR, attachment-based therapy, emotion-focused work, and strengths-based tools. I also consider the broader social and cultural systems that shape your experiences, including identity, access, and lived context.

About Me Personally

When I’m not in session, you’ll probably find me with my Shiba Inu, testing out a new baking recipe in the kitchen, or relaxing with a book.  I also really love traveling, especially solo. There’s something about it that feels grounding, liberating, and like a reset all at once.

I believe therapists should have their own therapy, support systems, and spaces for reflection. I take that seriously in my own life, and it’s important to me to keep doing my own work so I can show up grounded, present, and human in the room with my clients.

That belief is a big part of why I created Tender Luxe Therapy, a space rooted in the idea that therapy can feel both tender and intentional. “Luxe” isn’t about luxury in the traditional sense; it’s about the quality of attention, presence, and care that honors your story and your pace. It’s a space for honest, relational work where you don’t have to shrink, perform, or have it all figured out; just show up as you are and be met with respect, curiosity, and care.
